Today in Team Wha we were thinking like Scientists again.  We took Skittles (yum) and put them into a petri dish.  We predicted what would happen...the colours will come off, the colours will mix, the water or H2O will get sucked into the Skittle and disappear.  Some really great thinking Team Wha.   This is what happened.

We learnt that because sugar is heavier than H20 the colour that comes out of the Skittle will not mix with the other colours, instead it will fall to the bottom of the petri dish.  We then decided to test if the colour that came out of the Skittle would change the flavour.  You guessed it, it doesn't change the flavour it just make it a white Skittle.  So we also discovered that food colouring has no flavour.  Some wonderful learning, questioning and predictions going on in Team Wha. A big thank you to Peyton for taking the photos.

 Samoan Language Week
In recognition this week of Samoan Language week we decided to make our own Tapa Cloths.  These are just some of the amazing efforts the children went to.  Showing some real pride, connectedness and a fantastic attitude towards their learning.  Well done Team Wha.
